You can practise without an account. If you stay signed out, progress, settings, preferences, and practice history may remain on your device or in your browser. Local data may be lost if you clear browser data or change device.
Accounts are optional. If you sign in, Supabase Auth may process sign-in details such as your email address and authentication identifiers. If you email Sifaks, your message and email address may be used to answer your request.
Apple processes iOS in-app purchases and subscriptions. Sifaks may receive purchase status, product IDs, subscription status, and transaction identifiers needed to unlock or restore Sifaks Plus. Apple handles payment details; do not send card or payment information to Sifaks.
If you are signed in, Sifaks may sync lightweight progress to Supabase. This may include selected region, completed lessons, completed lesson timestamps, last practised lesson, practice count, last practice date, and preferred language. This cloud progress does not include raw audio.
When you allow microphone access, the app records a short practice attempt. The recording, target word or sentence, and practice context may be sent to the Sifaks server and then to SpeechAce or another pronunciation assessment service to generate feedback for that attempt. Sifaks does not store raw audio in your cloud progress data, and voice practice is not meant for private conversations or sensitive personal information.
Camera features are optional. If you enable mirror, mouth-shape practice, or mouth replay, the camera is used to show your mouth shape and support articulation feedback. Camera images and replay clips stay on your device during the session. Sifaks does not save camera images or video on its server or in your cloud progress data. You can deny camera permission.
Sifaks does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad networks, remarketing, or ad personalization in the app. The app may still use local storage on your device for settings, language, theme, practice progress, legal notice acknowledgement, and feature preferences. If analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies are added later, this policy should be updated first and required notices or choices should be shown before launch.
Sifaks currently uses Supabase for optional sign-in and progress sync, SpeechAce for pronunciation assessment when API scoring is enabled, Apple for iOS in-app purchases, and hosting or infrastructure providers needed to run the app. These providers process data only as needed for the service feature they support.
Sifaks does not sell personal data and does not currently share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. Service providers may process account, purchase, progress, or pronunciation data only to provide the app, keep it secure, process purchases, answer requests, or generate pronunciation feedback.
You can use the app without an account. You can deny microphone or camera permission, but related practice features may not work. You can clear local browser data if you use local-only progress. You can contact hi@sifaks.com to ask about access, deletion, correction, account data, progress data, or other privacy requests.
Sifaks does not currently send marketing newsletters or promotional email campaigns. Account verification, password, security, purchase, or support emails are service messages. Before any marketing emails are sent, they must use truthful sender and subject information, include an unsubscribe link, include a physical mailing address where required, and honor opt-out requests.
Sifaks is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for learners aged 16 or older. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If Sifaks learns that an under-13 child provided account data, progress data, or recordings without required parent or guardian consent, Sifaks will delete the relevant data as required. Younger learners should use the app with a parent, guardian, or teacher.
For privacy questions, account or progress questions, account deletion, data questions, correction requests, copyright notices, or child privacy requests, contact Sifaks Ousmail at hi@sifaks.com. You can also visit sifaks.com.
