Sifaks is for pronunciation practice. It is not a formal exam. It does not replace a teacher. Scores and feedback may be imperfect. The app is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for learners aged 16 or older; younger learners should use it with a parent, guardian, or teacher.
You can use the app without an account. Accounts are optional. If you do not sign in, progress may remain on this device or in this browser, and it may be lost if you clear browser data or change device. If you sign in, the app may sync lightweight progress such as selected region, completed lessons, completed lesson timestamps, last practised lesson, practice count, last practice date, and preferred language. Supabase Auth may process sign-in details such as your email address.
Sifaks Plus can be unlocked through Apple in-app purchases. Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Deleting the app or deleting a Sifaks account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Lifetime launch is a one-time non-consumable purchase. You can use Restore Purchases to recover active purchases for the same Apple ID. Prices, trials, renewal terms, and purchase confirmation are shown by Apple before purchase. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
The microphone is used for short practice recordings. A recording may be sent for pronunciation scoring. Camera, mirror, or mouth replay mode may be used for mouth-shape practice if you enable it. Sifaks does not save camera images or video on its server or in your cloud progress data. Only record your own practice and do not include private, sensitive, copyrighted, or unlawful material.
Sifaks uses Supabase for optional sign-in and progress sync, Apple for iOS in-app purchases, and SpeechAce or a similar pronunciation assessment service to score practice attempts. SpeechAce may process the short audio recording, target word or sentence, and practice context to return scores and feedback.
You keep your rights in practice recordings, typed text, feedback requests, and other content you submit, but you give Sifaks permission to process that content only to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use. Sifaks does not currently host public user-generated content. Copyright concerns can be sent to hi@sifaks.com; if public uploads, sharing, or community content are added later, Sifaks should publish a DMCA notice process and designate a DMCA agent before launch.
Sifaks does not currently send marketing newsletters or promotional email campaigns. If marketing emails are added later, they must include a clear unsubscribe method and legally required sender information. Transactional account, purchase, security, and support messages may still be sent when needed.
Use the app lawfully. Do not record sensitive personal information. Do not submit illegal, infringing, harmful, or abusive material. Do not attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service.
Sifaks is still evolving. Features, access, and feedback quality may change. The service may be interrupted or unavailable at times.
Scores are learning guidance only. There is no guarantee of exam results, grades, language progress, or perfect feedback. Sifaks Ousmail is not responsible for learning outcomes or automated scoring errors.
